About CartU
CartU was created by University of Arizona students who saw a simple problem: everything on and around campus is close, but not that close. Walking 10 to 20 minutes to class, Greek Row, the dorms, or the bars gets old fast, especially late at night or in cold weather. That’s where CartU comes in.
We’re a student-run golf cart ride service that makes getting around campus easier, safer, and more fun. For just $3 per person, CartU takes students anywhere within our Geofenced zone, from dorms and apartments to University Avenue and Greek Row. With quick, comfortable rides in fully customized carts. Our carts are wrapped in Arizona colors and feature LED lights, music, and seatbelts to make each ride exciting but safe. CartU gives students an easy alternative to walking or paying for boring rideshare services for short trips. Beyond convenience, CartU is about community. We hire and train student drivers, create flexible jobs, and always put safety first. Every ride follows clear rules, digital waivers, and trained driving to make sure everyone gets where they’re going responsibly.
Our Mission
To connect students, safely and affordably, while making campus transportation more fun. CartU launches its pilot program in Spring 2026, starting with a fleet of 10 carts serving the University of Arizona campus and surrounding student areas. This is just the beginning and we plan to expand CartU to campuses across the country, building the future of short distance college campus rides.
