Welcome to CartU! These Terms and Conditions (“Terms”) outline the rules and guidelines for using our website, services, and rides. By accessing or using CartU, you agree to follow and be bound by these Terms. If you do not agree, please do not use our services.
About CartU
CartU is a student-run golf cart ride service based at the University of Arizona. We provide short-distance rides for students within the university area. Our mission is to make campus life easier, safer, and more fun through quick, affordable transportation.
Eligibility
By using CartU services, you confirm that you are at least 18 years old or have permission from a parent or guardian. You also agree to follow all university rules, state laws, and CartU’s safety policies while using our services.
Payments
• All payments must be made through Venmo, Zelle, or other approved platforms.
• Prices are clearly posted before each ride (currently $3 per rider).
• Payments are final and non-refundable once a ride has started, except in cases of driver cancellation or error.
Waivers and Liability
Before using CartU, riders must agree to the CartU Waiver and Code of Conduct.
By accepting the waiver, you acknowledge that you are voluntarily assuming any and all risks related to riding in a CartU vehicle. CartU, LLC, its owners, and employees are not liable for injuries, damages, or losses that occur during a ride, except in cases of gross negligence or willful misconduct.
Safety Rules
For everyone’s safety, riders agree to follow these rules:
• Remain seated while the vehicle is moving.
• Wear seatbelts at all times.
• No standing, leaning, or hanging outside the cart.
• No open alcohol containers or illegal substances.
• Follow all instructions given by CartU staff or drivers.
CartU reserves the right to deny service to anyone violating safety rules or acting inappropriately.
Driver and Service Policies
All CartU drivers are trained student operators. Drivers have the right to refuse service if safety or behavior becomes a concern.
CartU may adjust operating hours, ride routes, and availability at any time without prior notice.
Data Collection
By using CartU, you agree that your contact information and ride details may be collected through Google Forms or similar tools for safety, record-keeping, and operational improvement. For more details, please review our Privacy Policy.
Intellectual Property
All website content, branding, logos, and media are owned by CartU, LLC. You may not copy, reproduce, or distribute any part of our materials without written permission.
Limitation of Liability
CartU, LLC, and its affiliates are not responsible for:
• Lost or stolen items during a ride.
• Delays caused by traffic, weather, or unforeseen issues.
• Damages or injuries not resulting from gross negligence.
Changes to Terms
CartU reserves the right to update these Terms at any time. Any changes will be posted on our website with a new “Last Updated” date. Continued use of our services means you accept any changes made.
